SKILLS determine how we age, our success in sports, if we get injured, the speed and quality of our recovery and our performance in action.

As a medical facility, focusing on visual and cognitive skills development leads to more accurate diagnoses and efficient patient care.
Elite sports clubs benefit by sharpening athletes’ reaction times and decision making, directly translating to enhanced performance.
In elderly care homes, these skills are crucial for maintaining mental agility and slowing cognitive decline.
Meanwhile, in the military, honing these abilities is key for heightened situational awareness and improved decision-making under pressure, ensuring operational success.

What is the SKILLCOURT and what benefits does it offer?

The SKILLCOURT is a testing and training device specifically designed to analyze and enhance visual, cognitive, and motor skills. It offers specific tests and training programs to measure and improve abilities crucial for athletes, patients, seniors, and emergency responders in their daily activities. The SKILLCOURT follows the biological sequence of every deliberate movement: See-Think-Act.

How does the SKILLCOURT work and what technologies are used?

The SKILLCOURT displays visual tasks on a screen that require cognitive solving and physical response. It employs an optical system (LIDAR) to scan the entire court and detect positions in real-time. This system captures inputs and assesses performance during training. Additionally, a 3D depth camera is utilized for certain exercises.

What types of tests and exercises does the SKILLCOURT offer?

The SKILLCOURT offers a variety of test and training programs that can be chosen based on goals. It then suggests suitable exercises from a range of categories tailored to our skills.

Tests:

  • Return to walk, run and play for ankle, knee and hip injuries
  • Cognitive tests like reaktion, task switching and inhibition
  • Visual tests like visus, dynamic vision and multiple objekt tracking

Workouts:

  • Individual or pre defined
  • Falls Prevention, fighting dementia and road safety
  • Ball sports, combat sports and racket sport

Can the SKILLCOURT be used by individuals with different fitness levels?

Yes, the SKILLCOURT offers a wide range of exercises for every fitness level, with intensity varying from very low to high. The training can be selected according to the goals and performance level of the users. As a result, children, patients, and elite athletes worldwide use the system equally.

What advantages does the SKILLCOURT offer compared to traditional training methods?

Brain training is often associated with playful tasks on computers or mobile devices. However, studies have shown that such activities only improve skills in those specific tasks, with little transfer to everyday life. For effective transfer, visual, cognitive, and motor processes need to be trained together, not in isolation. An exercise on the SKILLCOURT goes beyond exergaming; it’s a specialized brain training. Drawing on the latest insights from sports and neuroscience, the SKILLCOURT offers over 80 specialized trainings to enhance visual, cognitive, and motor skills.
We call this approach VIKOMOTORIK training.

Why should I use SKILLCOURT?

Every deliberate movement follows the same biological pattern: See – Think – Act. Visual and cognitive abilities are crucial in determining a person’s performance. Deficiencies in these areas can negatively impact:

  • The risk of falling
  • The risk of injury
  • The risk of dementia
  • Learning ability and concentration
  • Athletic performance
  • The rehabilitation process after injuries

For everyone from children to seniors, and from amateur to professional athletes, targeted VIKOMOTORIK training is a necessary and highly effective supplement to conventional training methods.
