What is
react
ion?

Reaction is the brain’s ability to respond to an external stimulus within a very short time. It includes the perception and processing of the information (reaction time) as well as the execution of the motor activity (motor time).

Short reaction times help us to brake in time in road traffic and avoid accidents. In sports, quick reactions are crucial for success in ball and game sports, and in our professional lives, quick reactions also increase our productivity and adaptability to new situations.

Changes throughout life

Why does reaction decr
ease?

We achieve the fastest reaction between the ages of 15-20, earlier than for many other cognitive abilities. As we age, simple responses slow down by about 1.5 ms per year, whereas choice responses slow down by as much as 5.7 ms per year. Accordingly, performance in sports and at work decreases, while the risk of accidents increases.

An active lifestyle, and exercise can maintain and even improve reaction time. The SKILLCOURT helps you with that.

With SKILLCOURT Training

To improve reaction time, training on the SKILLCOURT requires quick reactions and decisions. The faster the reaction is executed, the more points are scored in the training. Specific training for single reaction and choice reaction cover a wide range of applications of reaction time in everyday life and sports.

Each exercise on the SKILLCOURT also includes training of both reaction time (time between stimulus and reaction) and motor time (time to execute the movement). Both components are crucial for performance, success and health. Joint training also improves the transfer from training to everyday life. To check the success of the training, SKILLCOURT also contains a special diagnostic reaction test for the analysis of the reaction ability.

FA
Qs

Reaction training on SKILLCOURT requires the fastest possible perception and processing of stimuli and their conversion into a motor response. This challenge trains the brain to speed up the reaction time.

Faster reactions are crucial for safety in road traffic. If dangerous situations are recognized quickly enough and the motor response is executed, it is still possible to brake in time and avoid an accident. Faster reactions through training on SKILLCOURT can help reduce the risk of accidents on the road and in other situations.

SKILLCOURT includes exercises for training single and choice reaction. Single reaction requires responding to a stimulus with the same response, whereas choice reaction training requires an additional decision. This covers a wide range of situations in everyday life and sports. The following exercises on the SKILLCOURT specifically train the ability to react:

– Decision Pro
– Skipping
– Remember Forms

In addition to safety in everyday life, reaction speed also plays a special role in sports and professional success. Fast reactions help us to brake in time in road traffic, to recognize situations early in sports and to react quickly to challenges at work. Improving reaction time through training on the SKILLCOURT can therefore improve both performance and health.

Yes, the SKILLCOURT includes a special reaction test to analyze responsiveness.
